A big part of making your trip to Walt Disney World the best it can be is choosing to stay or visit some of the great resorts on property. Here are five resorts visitors to Disney World should look into checking out.
1. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
Featuring four large savannas complete with giraffes, zebras, gazelles and more, guests are treated to animal greetings from morning to night. The traditional African decorations are different than any other Disney resort and the rooms are incredibly homey. If you happen to visit the savannas at night, night-vision goggles are available to aid you in taking a peek at the animals.
2. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
If you're looking for a romantic getaway, exquisite restaurants and a classy ambiance, the Grand Floridian is just a monorail stop away. Featuring restaurants such as the Grand Floridian Cafe and if you're feeling like splurging, Victoria & Albert's. Arguably the most elegant resort on the Disney World property, visiting the Grand Floridian will also provide you with a beautiful view of Magic Kingdom's nighttime fireworks.
3. Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
Anywhere that serves dole whip deserves an A+ in my book, so the Polynesian is a must-visit. Being one of the stops on the resort monorail track, taking a visit to this classic resort can give visitors a relaxing break in between park hopping. Along with the Grand Floridian and Contemporary resorts, the Polynesian is a convenient distance from Magic Kingdom, perfect for family trips.
4. Disney's Boardwalk Inn
Connected to the Yacht and Beach Club resorts, the Boardwalk is pretty much a three-for-one. Including stops throughout the three hotels such as Jellyrolls, a piano bar, and the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop making a pit stop at this resort features activities for guests of all ages.
5. Disney's Wilderness Lodge
Personally, I believe this to be one of the most visually appealing hotels. The wooden accents throughout the entirety of the resort gives off a log-cabin feel without all of the bugs and dirt. The outside of the resort, which features a beautiful waterfall and greenery is reminiscent of Colorado. Overall, the resort adds a nature aspect to your visit without sticking you in a tent.
