If Disney Princesses Went To Michigan Schools

Love Disney? I know I do! Even if you're not a committed die-hard fan to the Disney princesses, we could all still wonder what they would be doing be if they were real... and where. I'm taking the liberty of deciding 'the where' because if I could have a chance to meet the Disney princesses, the inner nine-year-old child in me would faint. With all their strengths and dreams, what top eight school in Michigan would these princesses go to?

Well, let’s take a guess!

University of Michigan

Jasmine

Jasmine has always wanted to see what was out there beyond her castle walls. With U of M's numerous study abroad programs, Jasmine would definitely be able to see a whole new world as well as work on international affairs for her kingdom. With such a huge campus, she would get a chance to meet new people and make other friends besides her tiger Rajah (still love you Rajah!). And just as loyal as she is to her kingdom and Aladdin, she will be loyal to those Wolverines!

Michigan State University

Aurora

Aurora loves her animal friends. Michigan State University has the best veterinarian program in Michigan. With a broad area in animal science, veterinarian medicine, and the opportunity to specialize in other small areas, Aurora would take off with a caring passion. She would do great, because every animal she sings with adores her. And she would always be at State’s Botanical Gardens for a quiet study spot and a place to hang out with her new friends, the birds and squirrels roaming around campus.

Michigan Technological University

Belle

Belle couldn’t only handle the challenging courses at the Michigan Technological University, she would love every second! With her head always in a book and her dreams of getting out of her small town and making something of herself, this would be the perfect place to do it. And with her inventor father and her books, you know she learned a thing or two with her elevated intelligence and active imagination. With surrounding waterfalls and beautiful views, these would be perfect places to take a break during those final times. She would be ready to fly through MTU’s curriculum and, no doubt, eventually onto Grad School.

Calvin College

Cinderella

Calvin College has those traditional values that would go with a traditional princess. With a pure heart and her natural kindness, she would fit well into the small supporting community of Calvin. With strong Christian emphasis and values, Cinderella would fit right into Calvin's goal of living whole-heartedly. As a liberal arts school, Cinderella could follow any path she chooses, maybe even with a little help from her fairy godmother.

Hope College

Ariel

Ariel would need to be close to water, and with Hope College only being a short drive away from the beach, it is a perfect place for Ariel to test her land legs with ease. With her strong spirit, Ariel would love to adventure around the many hiking areas near campus. With strong sciences and biology programs, Ariel could learn more about her home, the sea, on an academic level. And she would appreciate the one on one connections with professors to guide her, because she obviously couldn’t trust Scuttle to help her with her homework. Come on, he thought a fork was called a dinglehopper!

Kalamazoo College

Merida

Kalamazoo College goes simply by K, and that’s all Merida wanted, was to be a simple girl and not a princess. But eh, you can’t run from what you are, but you can surely take a break! As a headstrong and bold girl, Merida could go after was ever her heart desired at Kalamazoo. Merida is an athletic girl, always riding Angus at home and practicing with her bow and arrows. She could surely find a spot among Kalamazoo division three teams to satisfy her need to move around but still giving her time to focus on her studies.

Madonna College

Snow White

Madonna College is known for their nursing programs, and with Snow White gentle and caring demeanor, she would be a perfect fit for nursing. Taking care of the seven dwarfs was just practice for what Snow White could learn to do to help people!

Kettering University

Mulan

Mulan isn’t someone who can just sit down and go with the flow. She needs to do something and take the less conventional path! Kettering University is for her as the school doesn’t follow the normal semester-to-semester schedule. Kettering has an innovative learning style that allows their students to get hands-on experience the moment they step on campus. They go from study terms to full-time work terms, kind of like internships guaranteed! Mulan likes to be where the action is, so she would definitely want to jump into the hands-on work before sitting in class all day.

Do you agree? Where do you think the princesses would go to school?

I'm sure, like me, many of you received lots of gift cards over the holidays. After working retail seasonally, here are a few tips that I learned in order to make the employees at your favorite store just a little happier and not want to charge you extra on your purchase for being awful. I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
