10 Types Of People You'll Always See At Disney

If you’ve never encountered any of these types of people, chances are you’re one of them.

It’s incredible that Disney attracts millions of people from all over the world through its gates every year. From first-time visitors, to weekly annual passholders (me), to people who just try to make it as many times as they can, there’s no doubt that you will see some interesting characters while you’re at the parks (and no, I’m not talking about interesting cast members…I’m talking about everyone else!). Here are just a few of the types of people I see on my trips to Disney:

1. The Matching T-Shirts

It’s cute on children. Not on entire families.

2. The First-Time Crazies

You know, the ones who you can just tell are here for the first time ever. I’m just saying, you’re going to regret getting all dolled up for the theme parks. You will sweat, and your feet will hurt.

3. The “Here for The Pins” People

You can spot them from a mile away with their bulging backpacks and heavy-looking lanyards that are just completely overflowing with hundreds of little metal pins.

4. The Disney-Obsessed

The ones who go to the parks in costumes that you know they spent hours (or even days) on to make sure you can tell which character they look like without having to ask.

5. The Crazy Parade-Goers

Why on Earth are you sitting down on Main Street at noon when the parade doesn’t start until 3 p.m???? Please tell me why. Please.

6. The Over-Packers

Please stop backing into me in line. Your backpack is huge, and there’s nowhere else for me to stand. Also, what the heck did you decide to bring to Disney? There’s no way you need all of that.

7. The Scooter Gangs and The Stroller Gangs

This isn’t the Daytona 500. Plus, I’m pretty sure there’s a Disney speed limit. Also, get out of my way, because my fast pass is about to end. Thank you.

8. The Completely Oblivious Parents

Please get off of your phone, your child is climbing rides and I’m not going to tell them to stop.

9. The Instagrammers

Guilty.

10. The Crying Babies

What is there to cry about tiny humans? You’re literally in the happiest place on Earth. Besides, I should be the one who’s crying while I escape my adult responsibilities in line for The Little Mermaid.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
