For every 90's and early 2000's kids, there are those Disney Channel movies that make you have all of the feels. The ones that were on every single night at 7 pm right after you finish your Kid Cuisine and your addition and subtraction homework that is due the next day. You would grab your favorite blanket and your pom-pon pillow and you would sit on the couch with your microwave popcorn, and you would watch the premiere of the next big movie. The best nights were the ones where you would look forward to the special dance along or single along version of the movie to be played. You learned your favorite dance from 'High School Musical' straight from the actors themselves, and you were able to sing along with the words going across the bottom of your TV. That's right, I'm kicking it back to the early 2000's. BRB while I go cry and wish Disney would bring all of these movies back.
1. Go Figure
Of course, my favorite movie ever had to be #1. I always had high hopes of becoming a world champion figure skater after watching this movie. I only made it as far as ice skating lessons. Which by the way, I think I had potential to make it big.
2. High School Musical 1, 2, and 3
These movies are the epitome of my childhood. I know every single word to every single song to every song. These movies are truly a work of art and you aren't a real Disney kid if you don't own every movie and watch "High School Musical" on New Year's Eve for obvious reasons.
3. The Lizzie McGuire Movie
Okay, can we take a moment to appreciate Hilary Duff in her teen years? This movie and her TV series "Lizzie McGuire" jump started her acting career. She has been a natural ever since the start, and I haven't been able to get enough of her since I discovered who she was when I was a mere 6-years-old.
4. The Cheetah Girls 1 and 2, and The Cheetah Girls: One World
I personally wasn't a fan of the first or the third movie, but let me tell you. The second one is where it's at. That movie is always on repeat on my Netflix. From the songs, the dancing, and the plot it is so quality. 'We are the Cheetah Sistas, we stand together."
5. Cadet Kelly
This movie is seriously so underrated. Again, Hilary Duff makes an amazing main character being sent off to boarding school because she lived too preppy of a life in Midtown New York.
6. Starstruck
Again, this is ALWAYS on my 'watch again' playlist on Netflix. Such a cute movie that makes me dream of the day when I will marry Hunter Hayes and we will live happily ever after in Nashville.
7. Pixel Perfect
This movie had one famous song in it, and then a terrible ending. I had to include it on my list of movies because "Ricky" from 'Phil of the Future' is so fine and it had an interesting plot. "Scream, shout, I love it loud, I feel the need to stand out in the crowd, Nothing's wrong with me."
8. The Princess Diaries 1 & The Princess Diaries: Royal Engagement
"Are you sassing your grandmother?!"
These had to be included even though they were never aired on Disney Channel, but still considered Disney. These were amazing movies that kept you entertained by watching the transformation of Princess Mia. I also highly recommend reading the books that were the premise for the movies.
9. Stuck in the Suburbs
Jordan was a fine dime if I do say so myself. He can sing and he has a romantic side?! Okay, I see you, Jordan Cahill. And also, Danielle Panabaker and Brenda Song are BFF goals in this movie.
10. Life is Ruff
Do you remember when Cory Massey was a huge deal on the Disney Channel? Me too.
11. Air Bud
I'm not crying, you're crying. I couldn't just pick one gif, so I picked two. This series of movies is the cutest I have ever seen. I love any movie that has to do with a dog, so obviously, this is no exception. I love sports and I love dogs. Best movies ever created.
12. Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior
Brenda Song is the definition of B.A. in this movie. She shows that a woman can be fabulous and kick some booty at the same time.
13. Cow Belles
I have high hopes that one day the Michalka sisters will return to the big screen or write more music. These girls were truly my childhood. Reference the song "Rush" by Aly and AJ if you have never heard their music.
14. Halloweentown
Personally, I was never a huge fan of the widely popular "Halloweentown" movies. These are the only movies that Disney still shows when October 31st rapidly approaches.
15. Minutemen
Can we take a moment? Charlie, Virgil, and Zeke are squad goals. And not to mention, Chelsea Kane (formerly Staub) is seriously an amazing actress in this movie.
16. Read It And Weep
Were you ever a 90's kid if you didn't watch Danielle Panabaker in a movie at least once?
17. Twitches I and II
Can we take another moment? I love the Mowry sisters so much. They crack me up and this movie is no exception.
18. Jump In!
Keke Palmer and Corbin Bleu are serious relationship goals in this movie. It was good to see Corbin step into a different role after playing the jock in HSM.
19. My Date with the President's Daughter
An oldie but a goodie. This movie proved that no matter what background you come from, you still stand a chance with anyone.
20. Zenon
Shoutout to my older sister for this one! She got me hooked on these movies even though they weren't my kind of thing.
21. Motocrossed
This movie has honestly been my OG since day one. It shows that girls can do anything if they put their mind to it.
I know I've made you emotional right now just because you miss these movies and watching them every single night. I'm sure myself and a lot of other people wish Disney would bring these movies out of their vault of hidden secrets and play one each night, even if it's at the wee hours of the morning. Now excuse me while I go and YouTube all of these movies in hopes of finding one to watch.
