6 Upcoming Disney Movie Sequels

1. "Wreck-It Ralph 2"

On Saturday, John C. Reilly announced that he has signed on to reprise his role as Ralph in the sequel to the 2012 hit.

Although there is little information on the upcoming movie, it may include a cameo of one popular video game character.

“We’ll really come up with something good for Mario to do [in the next film]. To be able to present him in the sequel would be great,” director Rich Moore said.

2. "The Incredibles 2"

In April 2015, director Brad Bird announced that he has begun writing the sequel to the 2004 Disney•Pixar hit “The Incredibles.” Although the plot has not yet been disclosed, Bird stated in a press conference in May that the movie will not reflect recent superhero storylines.

“For me, the interesting thing was never the superhero part of it. It was more the family dynamic and how superhero things play into that,” Bird said. “So the movie is a step further in that direction.”

Samual L. Jackson is also set to reprise his role as Frozone in the sequel.

3. "Finding Dory"

No surprise here. Ellen Degeneres first announced the sequel on her talk show back in 2013.

The movie, set to come out June 17, 2016, will center around Dory’s past as she tries to reconnect with her family. Most of the major characters from the first movie will be featured, including Marlin, Nemo, and the tank gang. Much of the movie is also inspired by "Blackfish," a documentary about SeaWorld.

Footage from the movie will be presented at Disney's D23 Expo in California on August 14.

4. "Toy Story 4"

Thought Andy's big goodbye at the end of "Toy Story 3" was the last you'd see of Woody and Buzz? Think again. It has been confirmed by director John Lasseter that "Toy Story 4" will be in theaters June 2017.

The storyline will not be a continuation of the series, but a stand-alone sequel.

"'Toy Story 3' ended Woody and Buzz’s story with Andy so perfectly that for a long time, we never even talked about doing another "Toy Story" movie. But when Andrew, Pete, Lee, and I came up with this new idea, I just could not stop thinking about it. It was so exciting to me, I knew we had to make this movie," Lasseter said

Josh Cooley, the screenplay writer for the movie "Inside Out" will be the co-director.

5. "Frozen 2"

The sequel to the fifth highest grossing film in history will be released in 2018. It has also been confirmed that the voices of Elsa, Anna, and Olaf will be returning.

6. "Big Hero 7"

This has not been confirmed, but is very likely. According to Genesis Rodrigues, the voice of Honey Lemon, "there's rumblings of something else happening."

"Big Hero 6" was originally inspired by a Marvel serial comic that included a character called "SunFire." The plot of the sequel may center around this character as well Tadashi's return, as suggested in this fan theory.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
