When you walk into a Disney theme park or even go under the sign on your drive to the parks, do you ever get that tingling feeling that you get when something magical is happening or you feel as if you are home? Disney is my second home and there is something magical about the parks.
1. The memories.
Most of my memories from when I was younger are at Disney World. I grew up in Orlando, which can be considered Disney's backyard. I love Disney for this reason. I was able to have a childhood based on dreams and reaching for the stars. I learned how to dream bigger just because of the memories made at these parks.
2. The food.
If you haven't had a mickey shaped something or Dole Whip are you even on a Disney Vacation? The food sold at the parks is have the trip. You don't ever have to buy a full meal but always need at east one food treasure during your visit.
3. The merchandise.
I can't speak for others but every time I am at a park and there is new merchandise that follows one of the events being hosted at the park or the fireworks shows I'm always drawn to it just so I can take the memories I made during that visit home with me.
4. The firework shows.
When I found out Wishes was being replaced for a new show in Magic Kingdom, I was more upset than I probably should have been since I wasn't able to make a visit to see it in person. I haven't been to Magic Kingdom in quite a few years because I had moved out of Florida and it is harder to make the drive but only a few times to visit family. I'm excited to see the new Happily Ever After show in person but Wishes will forever be in my heart.
5. The character meet and greets.
When you are quite literally Elsa's twin because you are albino and get to meet Elsa, life is made. The last time I visited any of the Disney Parks, which was Epcot, I was told by so many little girls that I looked like Elsa. But to meet Elsa and bond with my sister from another mister over icy stories, I was dying of excitement on the inside.
Disney has always been my second home from the age of birth. I am always a kid in the candy shop when I get to return and the magical memories can continue. Disney has taught me to dream big and that nothing is impossible. So yes I will continue to travel just to return to the parks even when I'm old and will need to be pushed around the parks just to have a magical moment again.
