Disney's Upcoming Leading Ladies

Even though these ladies are still in talks for starring in their respective movies, I'm super excited.

Disney's re-installments of old animated favorites have been box office gems. Take Disney's new live-action "The Jungle Book," their box-office charting at $533 million and counting. Also, their upcoming sequels such as "Finding Dory" and "The Incredibles 2" are movies that us college students are just craving to raid. When they arrive at movie theaters soon near us, they'll be in quality we would never have imagined possible as youngsters.

Disney is going to take throw-backs to the next level by introducing even more movie projects that might be starring some lovely leading ladies.

Emma Stone as Cruella DeVil

Whoever created this photoshopped picture is a genius, I salute you.

The Spider-Man veteran looks sublime as the infamous fur-lover, turning dogs into chic clothes. Even though this part is yet to be secured for Emma Stone, I think she will fit the role like a glove. Her acting chops are as sublime as her looks.

Cruella is known for her smoking habits, she almost always has a cigarette in hand and Emma's unique, musky voice will just exude charm, as it always does.

Yes, there is concern that she is definitely not the same age as Glenn Close's Cruella DeVil. However, this project is probably going to be similar to that of the 2014 Disney going-to-be-classic, "Maleficent" where we will see the evolution of an evil Disney villain. Question is, what's the story going to be about? Will Cruella be as misunderstood as Maleficent was? Or will we get an inside look as to how she became as sinfully devious as we all know and gleefully love to hate?

Reese Witherspoon as TinkerBell

This particular association came as a bit of shock to me and is still ringing uneasily with me.

As much as I think Reese Witherspoon has contributed gracefully to cutesy and lovable characters such as Elle in "Legally Blonde" and June Carter in "Walk the Line," in which she won an Academy Award for Best Actress in 2006, I do not think that Tinkerbell would be the best fit for America's sweetheart.

The one and only reason I think this is because Witherspoon is 40 years old. She is a very petite person and fits the physicality of Tinkerbell, but Tinkerbell has always been a young-looking pixie, much similar to that of her Neverland friend, Peter Pan.

Reese Witherspoon, however, is a very talented actress. And I do admit that it is intriguing what Disney is planning on doing with this Tinkerbell storyline.

These two women are considered A-List Hollywood actresses in their own right. If they do decide to work with Disney, I'm definitely reserving tickets on Fandango.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
