5 Fun, Free Activities To Do At Disney World For When You Go All The Time

Whether you're a cast member, a frequent visitor or annual pass holder to Disney, it might get a little tiring just riding your favorite ride every other trip. If you're looking for some new activities to do, here are some fun, free activities that will fill your days in the Walt Disney World resort!

1. A Pirate's Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas (Magic Kingdom).

In this free interactive game, you can sign up to become one of Captain Jack Sparrow's recruits and fight off his enemies all around Adventureland in a series of tasks. There are five different missions to go on, and at the end of each mission you get a card. When you collect all 5, you get a special surprise from Captain Jack Sparrow! This interactive adventure is great for all ages!

2. Wilderness Explorers (Animal Kingdom).

Because of how many different badges you can earn, the Wilderness Explorers guide can be done within a few trips, which makes this a great activity to do if you go to the parks a lot! The Wilderness Explorers is an interactive activity inspired by the movie "Up" where you can find and earn badges while learning about animals, insects, dinosaurs and the environment! When you've collected every badge, you can bring your book to the front of the park for your Senior Wilderness Explorer's badge.

3. Tour a Disney World Resort.

Disney offers amazing tours, but for a high price. What a lot of people don't know is Disney offers some free tours daily! The most popular ones are "Behind the Scenes Culinary Tours at Jiko and Boma", which includes a free sample from Jiko and Boma, and "Boardwalk Ballyhoo", where you can learn about the architecture and artifacts around the Boardwalk Resort. Hope you're an early bird, though, because both of these tours start before noon!

4. Look for Hidden Mickeys!

Looking for Hidden Mickeys around the Walt Disney Resort is my favorite pasttime, whether it's just waiting for a fastpass or reservation, or just because I feel like it. It's also a great way to pass time while in line and something fun to look out for while you ride a ride or see a show you've seen or ridden multiple times! There are books you can buy that will let you know where the hidden Mickeys are, or you can wing it and look for them yourself!

5. Ride the monorail loop around the Magic Kingdom resorts

One of my favorite things to do on property is go around the monorail and see the three Magic Kingdom resorts - Polynesian Village, Grand Floridian and Contemporary Resort! If you're 21 and over, you can even get off on each stop and bar hop (for an extra cost, of course) at the resorts, too! ;)

There are so many things to do at Disney World that it's impossible to run out of things to do! The struggle of wanting to only ride Haunted Mansion is a struggle, though. Now go try new things & have fun!

28 Daily Thoughts of College Students

"I want to thank Google, Wikipedia, and whoever else invented copy and paste. Thank you."

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
