The good ol' days of Disney.

The Top 11 Disney Channel Stars: Then And Now

"Let's watch a Disney Channel Movie!"

Even 10 years later as I sit in my college apartment, I can still hear the Disney Channel movie song as it played, anxiously waiting which movie was starting to play on that Friday night. Although kids flying through the air into fireworks wasn't normal, Disney Channel made it the most exciting song of all weekend. Kids looked forward to it.

Growing up, I always idolized the stars featured in the movies or TV shows. Whether it was Raven. Troy, London Tipton and even to Beans on "Even Stevens," I was addicted to the Disney Channel. I still find it amazing how much time has gone by since my Disney Channel days. Just because Disney Channel has completely changed (for the worse) now, doesn't mean we shouldn't remember our favorite stars.

1. Miley Cyrus

Seen In: "Hannah Montana"

Famous For: Playing a double life of an ordinary teenager and a famous pop star, who wears a wig and no one recognizes her.

Famous Quote: "Ah sweet niblets."

Under all those clothes (or lack there of), she's still deep down the same Hannah Montana that we all know and love. She definitely had the most dramatic Disney transformation.

2. Raven Symone

Seen In" "That's So Raven"

Famous For: Having psychic visions that are almost never correct but add an interesting plot line.

Famous quote: "Oh snap!"

She's a singer, actress, and a psychic! Contact her to look at your next vision!

3. Shia LaBeouf

Seen In: "Even Stevens"

Famous For: Playing a prankster trying to ruin everyone's lives, as compared to his perfect family.

Famous Quote: ....anything about feeding Bacon to his assistant Beans...

Let me just say he has grown up for the better... no more little nerdy kid anymore!

4. Brandon Baker

Seen In: "Johnny Tsunami"

Famous For: Playing a surfer bro trying to show off his skills when he takes on the snow slopes.

Famous Quote: "You're in America now, Hawaii. Try Speaking English."

5. Ryan Merriman

Seen In: "Smart House"

Famous For: Living in a technology and voice-activated smart house with music video walls that made every kid jealous.

Famous quote: "You can't be our mother, Pat. You're not real!"

Also seen in "Luck Of the Irish" — another Disney movie classic. To make you feel old, "Smart House" came out when we were only five.

6. Dylan And Cole Sprouse

Seen In: "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" and "The Suite Life on Deck"

Famous For: Identical twins who act completely different from each other living in a hotel while their mom is on tour with her band (completely normal right?).

Famous quote: Zack: "Hey sweet thang."

7. Adrian R'Mante

Seen In: "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody"

Famous For: Being the cool Bell Hop in the hotel that Zac and Cody live in, accompanying Zac and Cody on their crazy adventures.

Famous Quote: "No one calls Esteban Julio Ricardo Montoya De La Rosa Ramireza liar."

8. Zac Efron

Seen In: "High School Musical" 1,2, and 3

Famous For: Being the perfect and very handsome basketball player and equally great singer who, of course, has a conflict between his two hobbies, friends, and girls.

Famous Quote: "What team?....Wildcats! Getcha head in the game!"

Let's just say, "Once a wildcat, always a wildcat." And nice gap tooth, Zac.

9. Erik Von Detten

Seen In: "Brink"

Famous For: Leading his rollerblading crew, called the "Soul Skaters," into the championships.

Famous Quote: "Whatever Man, let's blade, brah."

10. Keirsten Storms

Seen In: "Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century"

Famous For: Being the trouble-prone 13-year-old girl who, in the year 2049 AD, lives on a space station with the rest of her family.

Famous Quote: "Zetus Lupetas!"

11. Ricky Ullman

Seen In: "Phil of The Future"

Famous For: Being just your average teenager — whose family crash-landed here from the year 2121.

Famous Quote: "Phil, I told you not to use holographic geniuses to help you with your homework."

Still wishing we could spray-bottle our food.

...With a special shout out to the cavemen, Curtis, that didn't speak. #tbt

We all miss the classic Disney Channel characters, and will forever remember growing up with these guys every Friday night.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
