Disney Channel Original Movies were the lifeblood of tv for most 90's kids. It was a special treat to be able to catch whatever DCOM was on and be able to talk about it at school with all your friends. Now, they seem like a thing of the past, but these DCOMs should never be overlooked.
Sidenote: to make us 90's kids feel old, here they are by release date:
1. Halloweentown (1998)
Now this one is a true classic, from the first year of true DCOMs, Halloweentown
doesn't disappoint. To this day, come October, gifs and memes are made with Halloween characters and my inner DCOM nerd is so happy. Also, don't think we all didn't notice when actresses get switched, Disney.
2. Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century (1999)
Not going to lie, I thought the future would consist of my metallic clothing and life in space. Although this movie didn't disappoint, the future sure has.
3. Smarthouse (1999)
Just more disappointments from the future. I mean the house talked, sure the classic Disney dead parent move made us all sad, but the house talking was the coolest thing ever.
4. Johnny Tsunami (1999)
This adventurous DCOM made me wish that I was lucky enough to A) live by an ocean or B) go to a school where I was either super good at snowboarding or skiing. Plus with a movie name like that, it has got to be a hit.5. Color of Friendship (2000)
With racial tensions being high, this taught us all that everyone is the same regardless of the color of their skin. Having darker or lighter skin doesn't make anyone better. It is truly what is on the inside that matters, not the pigment of our skin.6. Quints (2000)
We all wished for less attention from our parents, but we sure didn't envy Jamie Grover when her mom had quintuplets. This fun and entertaining movie taught us how tiring small children are.7. Motocrossed (2001)
I really wanted a motocross in my backyard after this one. Little did we know that the little girls of yesterday were realizing that we all have potential that cannot be squashed. Even in a 'boy' sport Andi dominated and was awesome.Image Source:
8. Luck of the Irish (2001)
"Kid today, leprechaun tomorrow". That title catch phrase sums it all up, but taught us all to love our heritage, no matter how crazy it is.
9. Double Teamed (2002)
This basketball movie made all the little kids wish to be tall and good at sports, but it really taught about getting along and doing what you love.

10. Cadet Kelly (2002)
This might be my all time favorite DCOM. With Hillary Duff starring in it, nothing can go wrong. Not to mention how cool they made the military look. Military Brats unite.11. The Even Stevens Movie (2003)
Even if it wasn't that great, we all loved the continuation of the series with the adventures of Louis and Ren.

12. Cheetah Girls (2003)
This one started a movement. We all loved the Cheetah Girls and didn't mind Raven being a Cheetah Girl, in fact, it only made her that much cooler.
13. Stuck in the Suburbs (2004)
With cell phones just becoming a thing, I think it is safe to say that we all wished we would accidentally get a pop star's phone number. I know it didn't happen for me, but this movie gave me hope.
14. Twitches (2005)
Tia and Tamera were just another sister, sister amazing duo in this DCOM.
15. High School Musical (2006)
I feel like everyone remembers this one. It has music that can't be forgotten and fantastic internet parodies that are created now because of it. Thank you DCOM for this classic.
16. Cheetah Girls 2 (2006)
I was really excited to visit Barcelona just because of this movie. Of course, the music was great too. "Dance With Me" might have been the best song, but it is truly hard to choose.
17. Jump In (2007)
Corbin Bleu took stage in this double dutch classic. It also had some quality hit jams in it like "Jump to the Rhythm".18. High School Musical 2 (2007)
This sequel might have been just as good if not better than the original. With equally catchy songs, the stars took on the DCOM fans and didn't disappoint. I just listened to some of the songs and I still know them...
I will end it there, as Camp Rock and Princess Protection Program, were some of the last of the quality classic DCOMs in my opinion. I know this didn't hit al the great ones, but this at least some on the DCOMs that we can't forget about.
