Yesterday was graduation day at my University... The caps, the gowns, the walking, the music; it's all familiar. There are several things I dislike about graduation and here are some of them.
1. Pomp and Circumstance
We all know it, very few love it. Maybe the repetitiveness is a metaphor of how long the graduate was in college.
2. Reading of the names
Maybe it's not so much the reading of every single person that's graduating that bothers me, but when they mispronounce names... well, at least it keeps it entertaining.
3. The Crying
Seeing others cry makes me want to cry, and I don't want to cry. We've been outside in the heat for what seemed like a decade and I want to go home and feel nostalgic and cry in private.
4. The Realization of Student Loans
Enough said.
5. One positive thing:
All the hard work has paid off! Congratulations!
