6 Disgusting Grade School Lunches We Actually Ate Every Day

"Yuck, BBQ riblets. Guess I'm not eating lunch today."

I don’t know if this is true across all grade schools or only the one I went to, but the school lunches I had were repulsive. Most days I would wait for half of the lunch period, in a seemingly endless line, to get one, small carton of milk and a tray of subpar food. Hopefully, some of these foods bring you back to those grade school days of covering the disgusting food with napkins so that you could quickly toss it out and go to recess.

BBQ Riblets

First of all, the word “riblets” is repulsive. Secondly, they tasted just as awful as they sound; they were chewy pieces of mystery meat dunked in barbecue sauce.

Mexican Pizza

The Mexican pizzas had bits of different ingredients sprinkled on them, but I never could tell what those ingredients were exactly. All I know is that they tasted horrible and were always shaped as a hexagon.

Pizza

Not only was the Mexican pizza inedible, so was the regular pizza. I don't know about you, but the pizza I got looked exactly like this picture. Yuck!

Salisbury Steak

Gross. So gross. A freezer burnt patty of some sort of meat that is soaked in disgusting liquid.

Hot Dogs

Hot dogs are such a simple food. However, these hot dogs were rubbery, a strange color and unappetizing. Also, without fail, the buns were squished and mashed up.

Chicken Nuggets

Much like the riblets and other various meats in this article, the nuggets were freezer burnt, soggy and just gross.

Hopefully, these foods brought you back to those absolutely disgusting grade school lunches.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
