Danny Boselovic and Nick Ditri, a DJ duo dubbed "Disco Fries" with an NYC-style of electronica, have partnered with Shanahan to release "Is It Over", a fresh new single featuring Shy Martin.

Initially inspired by several life changes in the lives of both Disco Fries and Shanahan, this song is characterized as "taking a somber subject and injecting playful positivity throughout". Melodious, powerful vocals are provided by singer Shy Martin, who is also featured on this latest hit. "Is It Over" is originally a piano track in 4/4 time, and it has been melded with signature, genre-defying tunes with a lot of crossover potential. "Is It Over" captures the nostalgia of the change from Hot to Cool, saying goodbye to Summer and welcoming the cool Fall.

Disco Fries was originally created by Boselovic and Ditri at Berklee College of Music in Boston during their freshman year. Boselovic comes from a hip-hop and dance music background, while Ditri comes from playing brass (trombone), being a Radiohead, and a passion for technology. Bringing this combo together, Fries and Ditri have an eye and ear for music that pleases the senses; it "hits" you right. Disco Fries has performed shows all around the world and have been featured in VIBE Magazine as one of the 30 DJs to watch in 2013. The duo's passion for music took them from the dorm rooms at the Berklee College of Music to the Las Vegas EDC stages.

Shanahan is from the label Enhanced, and he has worked with today’s biggest artists & companies across the globe such as Hardwell, Glenn Morrison, KURA, SONY Music, Breathe Carolina, and others. He and Disco Fries collaborated for "Is It Over" entirely through Skype and Splice, a cloud platform for music creation. Shanahan's unique motivation for creating this project solo in the beginning, was watching his brother experience an unexpected stroke at 31 and watching him recover, to which his brother said, "It's Not Over". Shanahan puts a little of himself in "Is It Over", and it translates well.

Shy Martin's voice is well-liked on the internet. She contains a signature pop-star voice, not unlike Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera, but it is unique to her, and very emotional. Her voice adds dialogue to the melody and all together, it is a great single to dance to, or listen and relax. She was also featured on the album "Painting With Dreams" by Tritonal and the Mke Perry mix, "The Ocean".

"Is It Over" by Disco Fries and Shanahan ft. Shy Martin was released September 30th and can be heard on AirwaveMusicTV Channel. It can also be bought at the Enhanced record label page here.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
