Directioners across the world took a shot to the heart this week. One Direction frontman Harry Styles announced that he would be leaving One Direction to pursue a solo career.

This past weekend, Harry Styles left One Direction's management, Modest Management, and signed with Jeffrey Azoff of CAA.

It was official as of Feb. 5. Executives of Modest Management Richard Griffith and Harry McGee confirmed the news with a statement to Billboard.

The former frontman for the popular boy band from the United Kingdom has yet to say anything about the career change. The most recent tweet from the teen heartthrob could be subliminal:

This has been the most recent tweet from Styles since the announcement of him leaving the band. Could there have been bad blood? We will have to see.

Zayn Was The First

Directioners have just accepted the departure of former band member, Zayn Malik.

Early last year, Malik left One Direction to start his own career.

In an interview with New York Daily News, Malik explained the major reason he left the band. "There was never any room in the band for me to experiment creatively," Malik told New York Daily News.

Malik also said that his decision to leave the band was completely impulsive. Malik woke up one morning and just thought that he needed to go home and start to do things for himself.

Eyes On Harry: The Steps To Leaving

With Malik leaving the band, there had been speculation (and worry from fans) that Harry was the next to leave the band.

Many speculated that Styles was going to leave the band. He was the frontman for one of the top artist groups across the world.

According to an interview with Life & Style, Harry had been working, in Los Angeles, on a solo album while the band was in Europe in the summer of 2014.

An industry expert told Life & Style that the freshness of the band was diminishing and trying to replace Styles would be hard for fans and the public to swallow.

The Fans: How Do They React?

With this announcement starting off the music industry for 2016, it has yet to really hit media. Have fans even found out that Styles has left? Or are they in denial?
