From Diplomas To Disney: How My Friends And I Celebrated Graduating With The Ultimate Senior Trip

After 4 long years, I've finally graduated from High School. An accomplishment I don't take lightly, no matter how much my college graduate sister belittles it. I took pride in every stride I made down that field to receive my diploma, I also watched in anticipation as my two best friends received theirs. Accepting that diploma meant a lot more to us than a certificate of our academic achievements. It was symbolic of our greatest achievement; our concrete friendship that has survived throughout the years. We've been through so much together that our friendship has became unbreakable. We've even earned the title of "The Trinity" from one of our close friends. Ever since then we've referred to ourselves as the Trinity for everything we do. An Instagram post #Trinity; Group chat "Trinity"; Photo album "The Trinity" with a few needed heart emojis. So it only seemed fitting that the Trinity takes a trip! A senior trip to celebrate all our years of hard work in school and maintaining a friendship that feels more like a sisterhood. We began thinking of places to go, when it hit us... Disney World! It's the happiest place in the world and we've never been there together just the three of us (aka no parents). So it was settled the first week of August the Trinity traveled to Florida. This is a recap of our magical week long trip to Disney.

Day 1: Arriving in Orlando

The view from a plane is always breathtaking

We stayed at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Staying here was a vacation all on it's own. It had everything from multiple pools, to live music in the lobby, a 24 hour cafe (which we ate from daily), our room even overlooked Cinderella's Castle. The resort also resembles a castle and everyone there treats you like royalty.

Day 2: Character Dining and Animal Kingdom

Started off the day great with a buffet breakfast accompanied by a few of our fave Disney characters.

Quick pic before we take on our first ride- Expedition Everest.

Looking fly with our bug eyed 3D glasses.

Probably the best selfie I took this whole trip.

Ended the day dancing shamlessly in Africa for crowds to see.

Day 3: Magic Kingdom

If you look closely you can see I'm also in this picture.

Victory pic after we slayed Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.

Couldn't forget to take a spin on the classic tea cup ride.

This picture I took during the Castle's Fireworks show, is still all our phones background.

Day 4: Hollywood Studios

So it kinda started pouring rain...

But that never stopped us from eating some good ice cream and having a great time.

Day 5: Goodbye Disney

Saying goodbye is always hard but it helps when you buy matching Mickey sweatshirts.

All in all our senior trip was everything and more. We had so much fun getting to be kids again before fully launching into adult hood. 10/10 would recommend you make Disney your next destination for any celebration because it's totally worth it. It truly is the happiest place on earth. Although don't forget that the company you are with affects your whole experience. For me the real magic at Disney is getting to be with the people you love, and getting to make memories that will last a lifetime.

I thought senioritis in high school was rough until I became a college senior about to go into the real world. I'm supposed to have everything figured out, right? I mean I went through four years of tough classes and serious self-searching (and crying). What I found overall was Senioritis sneaking up on me.

It takes a little while to get used to not seeing your high school best friends every day. Going away to college causes a lot of changes, but one thing that will never change is my love for my high school BFFs, and the texts that I get from them. College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. But sometimes it's necessary to indulge in some guilty pleasures as well as just doing things because you can. And honestly, a lot of the time it's inevitable. College is no piece of cake that's for sure, so it's okay to do some things you deep down know you shouldn't....once in a while anyways.
