Dating when you're around your twenties in college is surreal. Sure, you've had your fair share of dates in high school, but this is different. You're not an adult yet, but you've never been closer. Relationships are suddenly something that can be seen as super serious, because it could actually lead to something-this scary thing called love. However, since you are in college, nobody seems to take anything serious. Hence, there's an increase of frustration that occurs when you're dating in college, and like all my other frustrations in life, I like to take it out with memes. So what is it really like dating in college?

1. You stay single for a while, because well you're in college and want to have fun, but soon you get bored of the meaningless encounters. You want someone you can actually be yourself with and who can keep up the conversation; not just somebody cute for the night.

2. Although you're supposed to be more mature in your relationships, you probably still go after the one you're not supposed to be with. Why can't you just make things easier for yourself by going after that nice person who would treat you better instead of the one whose attention you have to fight for?

3. It's hard to get that first date because people in college are usually trying to do their own thing. You try your best to drop hints of what you want though.

4. You eventually start dating someone, but you've never had so much freedom before, and this can lead to extreme clingyness. It's just hard to leave someone's place when you don't really have a reason to leave, but giving people space is important. You don't have to do everything together.

5. Despite this new clingyness that you have to get used to, his or her ex is probably even more clingy. They seem to know everything about you when you barely know him or her.

6. You're both most likely broke, so dates often look like McDonalds and cheap liquor. This can be fun, but isn't the healthiest thing, and often leads to nights both of you can barely remember, which doesn't create many cute, lasting memories.

7. You're trying to focus on your studies and not have any distractions, but you just can't help yourself for wanting to be with someone. Plus, you think he or she might be the one.

8. But at the end of the day, no matter what happens, you have to have a positive attitude and realize that whether you are single or taken does not really matter, as long as you're happy. Plus, anyone would be lucky to have someone like you!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
