Tea is one of those types of things that you hate at first but eventually love so much that you can't remember why you didn't like it in the first place. Included in this category is black coffee, dark chocolate, fine wine, and "Jeopardy."
Here is a list of teas that range from soul-soothing to caffeine-packed that you can drink at any time of the year.
1. Chai tea (Masala chai)
Chai has gained a lot of popularity over the last few years for its ability to be recreated into a delicious chai tea latte, which involves cream and a lot of foam. That being said, it's also super-delicious in its plain tea form. It typically has an earthy taste with a peppery aftertaste.

2. English Breakfast Tea
This tea is typically associated with mornings (obviously). It has a higher caffeine content than many other teas. The black taste gives off a refreshing aroma and I think it's paired well with sugar and lemon juice. I like to substitute breakfast teas for coffee for a healthier and, in my opinion, tastier option that doesn't leave me jittery by 11:00 a.m.

3. Oolong Tea
Oolong has a light, simple taste that is typically associated with calmness and serenity. It varies in taste influences, from woody to fruity to nutty or more. Some people prefer it with honey. Personally, I like to get it whenever I get sushi. I think the flavor blend is on point. Probably why it's been popular for so long.

4. Peppermint Tea
Peppermint tea is a personal favorite of mine. It's perfect for cold weather, late night study sessions, or if you're sick. Steeping in a mint leaf mix allows the fresh scent to invigorate your senses and leave your mouth minty fresh. It's also thought to have healing properties for sufferers of gastrointestinal issues.

5. Green Tea
Green tea is perhaps one of the most popular teas simply because somehow, everyone knows what it is but probably has never tasted it. It has a savory, almost vegetable-like flavor. I personally am not a fan, but I try it now and then to see if my taste buds have developed enough to include it in my tea repertoire. It has some amazing health benefits and some people go as far as to say that it even cures cancer, though there is no proven research that backs that claim up. However, if drunk too often, it is mildly toxic and should be avoided!

6. Tisane
Tisane is a drink that's basically a blend of any fruit, flora, spice, or herb mixture. I've indulged in tisanes packed into tea bags and then let them steep for a couple minutes. I'm a fan of any with almonds in them especially, but floral tisanes also pique my taste buds. Because of the unique mixtures, it offers a lot of variety in tastes. You can even make them yourself if you consider yourself a tea connoisseur!

So go out and drink bountiful amounts of tea! I'm about to make myself some right now. Now, what to choose?
