I've been exploring the New York City food and culture scene since I was a sophomore in high school. Whether I was taking myself on a food tour or venturing out to see what the city had to offer, I always came prepared with a list of things to do. When it came time to my friends wanting to see the city as well, they would typically ask me for suggestions about places to eat or fun activities. Unfortunately, I would've deleted my lists by then, and I would have to plan itineraries for them. I never minded, since it's always been one of my favorite hobbies, but I recently discovered an app that makes sharing my adventures a lot easier.

DIDiT NY is probably one of the best phone apps that I have ever encountered.

DIDiT is a great app because it helps users figure out where to go for anything that they're interested in doing on that day. Whether it's finding brunch spots, rooftop bars, or following the footsteps of celebrities, the app has lists that fit all of those activities and more. I remember seeing a list of desserts and realizing that instead of going on Yelp, having to ask my friends who live in the city for recommendations, or having to find all of these individual places myself, I could just use the DIDiT app and have an entire list of great places in a few seconds. I was instantly hooked.

For me, I also thought about my last year at college. Since I've moved to the Los Angeles for school, I've had friends back home ask me about places to go or eat at in New York City. Granted, I always want to provide help, but there are times when I'm just busy and I feel bad making them wait. I can just bypass the hurdle now using this app. Now that I make lists for DIDiT, my friends can follow where I've gone, see places mapped out, and add these spots onto their own bucket lists for places to try. It's definitely saved me a lot of time since I've started publishing on the app. For instance, I had a friend ask me for an ice cream suggestions in the city the other day, and all I had to do was send them my list for my

Manhattan Ice Cream Guide.

Along with other content creators like Buzzfeed, Thrillist, and Timeout, a number of lists is endless. I'm very grateful to have a new way to present my interests in an organized way, and to help a wider range of people explore a city that I've grown to love so much over the years. If you're a New York City resident or plan on visiting, I highly recommend getting this app and learning about places that guidebooks can't even document. DIDiT may just be in New York City right now, but it plans on expanding, and I cannot wait until I can also offer my insight on Los Angeles as well in the future.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
