I’m not really sure how many times I have complained about you, probably impossible to count. But for all the fights, the differences we have had, there’s never a day I don’t thank God for you. When I came into this world, little did I know my best friends were already waiting for me, and to this day they would still be the best guys I have ever known. In my 19 years of life, I have never met such compassionate individuals, I don’t know guys who have better and bigger hearts than yours.

I got the blessing of having two brothers. I’m not going to lie, sometimes I wonder what life would have been like if I had a sister, but I’m forever thankful that I grew up the only girl. Even more thankful that I have a childhood full of memories with you two. I was always trying to keep up and be as strong as you. Always following in your footsteps, the path you had created for me. I owe you guys the success I have had; you were my first teachers. You guys taught me to fight and be strong for what I wanted. You taught me what true and unconditional love felt like and to fully embrace myself. You taught me that it was OK to go out and about, without makeup, hair up, and explore the earth.

There are no words to explain how many lessons I have learned from both of you. How many times your advice – whether about boys, school, anything really – has spared me from pain, and even though I hate to admit it, how many times you have been right. I’m not sure how I would have got to where I am today without your daily influences.

Lastly, to the two women who get the blessing of having you as their husbands, I hope that they truly appreciate your worth. I hope that they understand your quirky individuality, how much love you will give to them. How unique you are in those ways, how both of you are true gentlemen. Strong, protective, pains-in-the-butt at times, but two of the most beautiful souls I have ever met. You both are so intelligent, loving and are going to go so far in life. I have been so proud, you have already accomplished so much and shown me all the possibilities life holds, and I can’t imagine what the future holds for you both. The biggest honor in my life is getting to say I am your little sister.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
