As a student, it's very normal to be always on the go. Most days consist running to 3-4 different locations for me, which means I need the sturdiest bags that are not only appropriate for the occasion, but won't break on me. Continue reading to see which purses I use for each event.
1. Purse: Work/School Balance
My Michael Kors Selma was such an expensive investment when I first bought it - even though it was on clearance. However, 2.5 years later, it's still the sturdiest bag I own. I've dragged this purse from work to school, as it's big enough to fit my wallet, laptop, two books & my planner and pens - all without pushing the edges of the bag out. The rough texture of the saffiano leather makes it basically scratch-proof, as I've also dragged it on nights out many a time.
2. Tote: Travel and School Essentials
Even though this Kate Spade tote is not the most work-appropriate accessory, I still get compliments every time I carry it - whether it's when I'm travelling, or when I'm coming home from class. When I first saw this bag, I had to have it as a Christmas present as it was representative of my two favorite colors - pink & glitter. Two years later, this bag is still in top condition despite being shoved under airplane seats or taken around various cities in the world.
3. Large Crossbody - Light Day or Night Out
Probably one of the currently most Instagrammed bags, my most recent birthday present, the Gucci Marmont, despite being a "mini" size is one of the largest crossbody purses I own. This makes it perfect for a day where I only have work but no class, as it's perfect for storing the essentials plus a book for my commute. Or else, for a night out, it's just large enough to be a statement piece when paired with darker colors. I haven't had a chance to showcase this bag too much yet as it's only a month old, but during winter break this bag will likely be my go to.
4. Small Crossbody - Just the essentials
Getting this Marc Jacobs bag at a massive discount made it a complete impulse buy, about 2 years ago. Despite its soft leather, this bag can hold much more than what it initially looks capable of. This is my go to bags when doing errands, since it's so lightweight and won't get in the way of grocery or other bags, and leaves my arms free. It's also great for going out to grab a casual meal.
