Demi Lovato's Tell Me You Love Me Tour Was The Best Night Of My Life

Yes, you read that title correctly. Demi Lovato’s Tell Me You Love Me Tour was the best night of my life.

Now, I have been the biggest Demi Lovato fan since the womb, okay? This wasn’t a tour that I was going to miss. I’ve always told myself that the next concert of hers that I went to, I would buy VIP passes just so I can meet her. (Seriously, I’m a big fan.) But ya girl doesn’t have that kind of money in the bank so I guess I had to settle for floor seats.

But girl, that was not just settling. If I had never have gotten those seats, that night wouldn’t have been the night that was it. Thankful to my wonderful mother for scoring me two tickets to take my best friend with me I know that I was destined to be in those seats. (Cue dramatic music.)

The show started and new singer Kehlani opened the show along with special guest DJ Khaled. That night, I quickly learned that DJ Khaled is the definition of extra, but it was definitely cool to hear, “WE THE BEST MUSIC!” in real life. The lights came back and a crew from backstage came out and started setting up the stage for Demi.

My heart started racing, my bladder started filling, and the tears started coming. Demi Lovato was about to come on stage and I could actually see her this time.

The lights went out and the crowd started going crazy. I was frozen. I didn’t know how to react or how I should feel. Everything seemed so surreal.

She rose from under the stage to the middle and started singing, “You Don’t Do It For Me Anymore.” I was shook. My best friend and I looked at each other wondering how we got these seats and how amazing life is that we got to be here.

She continued on with the show with some old favorites like, “Cool For The Summer,” and “Confident,” but this next part was about to change my life.

After she sang "Confident", an acoustic instrumental was playing as the stage crew was setting up for the next song. Meanwhile, I see a herd of security guards coming down the aisle where my best friend and I were sitting. Thankfully we were as close to her as possible. I looked in the opposite direction and my friend nudges me. All I can hear is “JESSICA LOOK,” and there within the heard was none other than the queen, Demi Lovato.

Demi Lovato walked right past us.

All I could say was, “Oh my god.”

Yes, she was gorgeous

Yes, she really is that short.

And yes, she can really sing like that in person.

So I did what any fangirl would do. I started screaming, crying, and of course saying, “Oh my God!” over and over again.

As she moved over to the next stage, she was even closer to where we were sitting, and my life was complete. All I had ever wanted was to be close to her at one of her shows and here’s God giving me two chances to be as close to her as I can get without murdering my bank account.

She continued the show with some of my new favorites like, “Concentrate” and “Sorry Not Sorry” and she never failed to keep the crowd going.

Towards the end of the concert, Demi said, “I wanted tonight’s setlist to showcase my sexy side, my loving side, my confident side, and my sexy side. I wanted this to be like a big therapy session for everyone, and I want everyone to know that they are loved.”

Going to the Demi Lovato "Tell Me You Love Me" Tour was a life-changing experience for me. Not only was I two feet away from her at a point, but I felt the genuine emotions she poured out to the crowd.

Maybe next concert of hers I go to I’ll get to meet her, but for now, this was the best night of my life.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.
