Demi's 'Sober' Relates Too Closely To Those In Trouble

After six years of being Sober from her alcohol and drug abuse Demi relapsed. She wrote her song "Sober" as a way to apologize for her misstep. Although her song is dedicated to her alcohol and drug abuse it can relate to those who struggle with so many disorders.

Demi has publicly discussed all her struggles as openly as she can throughout her treatment the last six years and her songs reflect all her past setbacks and accomplishments. This song in particular can relate to so many people who struggle with substance abuse or even their worse disorders. When I first heard this song it made me think about when i first started self harm. I have now been three years "sober" in self harm. Music has always been determined and interpreted by those who take all that they are and express them in the music they write, play, or listen to.

Demi's song reminds that we are all humans and we all make mistakes. She may be famous but even a celebrity can admit that she needs help. She has become such an icon in showing that those who need help do not need to be afraid to ask for help. Her song "Sober" shows that those in trouble can still find forgiveness in the darkest of places. She addresses her fans in her song and asks for their forgiveness. They have since showed massive support in her recovery and wish her well as she makes brilliant strides into recovery.

This song shows that you can seek forgiveness from others as well as yourself and to promise to get better. Demi's music in general has become an iconic inspiration to everyone all over the world that you can do anything you set your mind to. So to Demi good luck in recovery and thank you for showing that your music can help those who struggle with substance abuse, self harm, or any trouble that comes their way!
