About two weeks ago, Ohio Northern University (ONU) held its 2016 Homecoming celebrations here in Ada, Ohio. One of these events was the annual homecoming parade, where student organizations of all kinds proceeded down Main Street while waving and passing out candy to lucky parade watchers. Overall, the parade had a healthy number of people in attendance who all contributed to the celebrations. Many alumni and their families were in attendance, so it was wonderful to be able to show them that ONU's pride is stronger than ever.
I was fortunate enough to be able to participate in this parade as a member of Delta Zeta Sorority here at ONU. For a class project, I was required to "live-tweet" one of the homecoming events, so I figured that marching in the parade with my DZ sisters would be a great event to tweet about. My tweets begin with pre-parade setup and waiting time, during which our sisters had fun messing around and hanging out. The tweets then transition to focus on our procession down Main Street, including Delta Zetas cheering for our sorority in celebration and passing by a group of DZ alumnae who were thrilled to see us and cheered right along with the active sisters. Finally, I wrapped up the live tweet session with a special shout out to our float driver and a thank you to my followers and DZ sisters for participating.

Ohio Northern had a successful homecoming this year, and I am glad that Delta Zeta's participation in the parade was just as successful!
