Last week Beyonce dropped yet another incredible album; this time a visual album. Each track on "Lemonade" is unique and unlike any other, yet they operate as one collective masterpiece. Queen B took a rotten situation and turned it into something wonderful, and certainly did not disappoint. After listening to it nonstop, I couldn't resist ranking the songs from worst to best.
12. "Forward"
"Forward" serves as an interlude to the album. We hardly hear from Bey on this track, which lands it as the weakest on the album, but it certainly keeps us wanting more.
11. "Don't Hurt Yourself"
Although the passion behind this track left it with a lot of potential, the delivery was subpar. The vocals are unusual for Beyonce and are, quite frankly, a little painful to listen to.
10. "6 Inch"
The collaboration that is The Weeknd and Beyonce is nothing less than beautiful. This track contains a lot of vocal variety as B expresses just how hard she works to earn the title of queen.
9. "Daddy Lessons"
This track transports listeners outside of any atmosphere previously visited in Beyonce's music. She proves just how versatile she can be and delivers a country-feeling, southern-comfort song.
8. "Pray You Catch Me"
"Pray You Catch Me" is one of the more intimate tracks on Lemonade. It's real and it's raw, and it definitely brings the feels in the Beyhive.
7. "Love Drought"
This track reminds us just how much we love Jay and Bey together as she retraces how they could've gotten to this point. We're rooting for you, B.
6. "Freedom"
"Freedom," like "Daddy Issues," is a truly unique track. Beyonce collaborates with Kendrick Lamar to deliver a track centered around social issues that you can't help but belt out.
5. "Formation"
This track was released before the remainder of the album and also does not follow the theme of personal damage that most of "Lemonade" does. But, you cannot deny just how catchy it is. It certainly adds an extra dose of spunk to the album.
4. "Sorry"
Queen B shows just how badass she is on this track. The attitude in "Sorry" is the mindset every girl aspires to maintain. Ruin our relationship? Your loss, boy bye!
3. "Sandcastles"
This track is deep. Bey takes listeners on yet another emotional journey as she sings about forgiveness and the understanding that things don't always work out quite as planned.
2. "Hold Up"
"Hold Up" serves as a light, playful track on an album full of emotionally draining (yet beautiful) music. Bey delivers it with such sass and begs the question, "What's worse? Being jealous or crazy?" This leaves me wondering, "Does it really matter when you're Beyonce?"
1. "All Night"
This track was the perfect ending to the masterpiece that is "Lemonade." It leaves listeners with hope that even the most damaged relationships can survive. It also leads us to believe that Jay and Bey have overcome their differences, meaning all is right in the world.
