Definitive Ranking Of College Mascots

What makes college great? The people. The food. The drinks. The learning. The mascot?

Most colleges have a mascot that represents the university. For example, Penn State’s mascot is the Nittany Lion, and it's a tradition to honor it.

Below is a list of the top 10 college mascots. Did your school's mascot make the cut?

1. Georgia Bulldogs

If you don’t think Uga is the cutest dog in the world, you are seriously mistaken.

2. Oregon Ducks

The Oregon Duck is not only cute, but is also one of the best.

3. Penn State Nittany Lions

The Nittany Lion might not be the coolest or cutest mascot, but it holds a lot of tradition.

4. LSU Tigers

Mike The Tiger is a tiger. And who doesn't love tigers?

5. Texas Longhorns

Bevo is a live bull that goes to Texas games. Don’t mess with him, or you may have to pretend to be a matador.

6. The South Carolina Gamecocks

Cocky is a fighting rooster. The immature college students always seems to enjoy making fun of their mascot. But hey, I think it’s cool.

7. Washington Huskies

Harry The Husky is arguably one of the best dog mascots in the game.

8. USC Trogans

Ah, another mascot that immature college students like to make jokes about. Traveler is still a pretty cool mascot, despite being compared to a condom brand.

9. Florida Gators

There are two of them! Albert and Alberta are a power couple. You can’t beat having them both around.

10. Michigan State Spartans

Sparty is strong and muscular, everything a girl wants. If he were real, I’d probably pass him my digits.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
