If I don't write out my packing list, I'm bound to forget something. So here is my definitive packing list for a weekend away in NOLA.

1. Dress & Shoes

2. Boyfriend

NOLA is full of photo ops, and if you think I'm not going to strike a pose next to the same fountain I've been posing at for the last 10 years, you don't even know me.

3. Straightener and Makeup

You

gotta look good for the aforementioned photo ops.

4. Comfy Clothes For The Bus Ride

LOL if you think I'm about to take a 4.5-hour bus ride in my going out clothes.

5. The Extra Accessories

This year I'll be wearing Mardi Gras Beads and a boa, as well as my normal jewelry... When in NOLA

6. Pajamas

Since you usually have to share a room with another couple, it's just polite to bring pajamas to wear.

7. Sunglasses

Wow, I can't imagine making a trip without my sunglasses

8. Something To Hydrate Yourself On The Bus

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
