Most people who have been following the election are pretty familiar with the candidates that are running for president by now. They know who they want to be president, and most importantly, they know who they do not want to be president. Everyone should have an opinion, but there are a lot of people who are not informed enough about the election. People who are not well-informed about the election often refuse to vote in the elections. They don’t think that their opinions can make a difference. Every vote counts, which is why you should vote for the candidate that has the same views as you.

Unsure about which candidate you should vote for? A website called ISideWith.com matches your beliefs with a possible Presidential candidate. The quiz is about 28 questions, with the option to answer additional questions for some categories to get better results. The questions have either yes/no answers, as well as more detailed answers and the opportunity to write your own. Topics are on important issues such as gun control, abortion, gay marriage, minimum wage, and Muslim immigration. You can also rate how important each specific topic is to you, from least important to most important. When you submit the quiz, it compares your answers to the answers of the candidates. The results are very informative, telling you which political party and candidate you side with most. It also breaks down your answers for each topic to see how you match up with each candidate.

The quiz said that I sided with Bernie Sanders on most issues, which was no surprise. 95% of my answers matched his, as well as Hillary Clinton’s. Donald Trump and I barely share any of the same beliefs. Independent candidates' answers were also factored into the results. Other features of the site include the ability to see the popular opinion and what areas of the country agree with your views. It explained various political themes that I was previously not familiar with, such as small government vs big government, collectivism vs individualism, and traditional vs progressive. It also explains your ideology as either Left-Wing or Right-Wing and Authoritarian or Libertarian.

Everyone has an opinion on what they think is right. By taking this quiz, undecided voters can figure out who to vote for based on their beliefs. If the people who do not plan to vote in the election took this quiz, I’m sure a lot more of them would end up voting after finding the candidate that suits them. Many people just aren’t sure where to begin, but this makes it a lot easier. Take the quiz at ISideWith.com to find out which Presidential candidate shares your beliefs!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs.
