As the first week of December begins, it looks like music fans will be getting their Christmas presents early this year. Since the beginning of the month, fans have been greeted with new projects from artists we have longed to hear new material from. While some projects were expected, others came out of nowhere and put everyone on their heels for its release.

Our Christmas began on December 2nd as Childish Gambino released his first project since "Because the Internet" titled "Awaken, My Love!" In this project, Gambino switches from rapping to a funk and soul type style. The very next day, Drake's "More Life" project dropped. However, according to Drake "More Life" is not much of an album or mixtape, but it is more of a compilation album. It is a compilation of unreleased material from Drake and the rest of the OVO crew. And judging by the cover of the project, we might have to a potential feature from Drake's father at some point during the project.

The most shocking and most anticipated project is J. Cole's "4 Your Eyez Only" coming on December 9th. After his last project "2014 Forest Hills Drive" went double platinum without any features, Cole returns out of nowhere with this newest project that has many fans dying for its release. Not to mention that along with J. Cole announcing the new album, he also fired some shots along the way. On his new track "False Prophets," Cole took shots at the likes of Kanye West and Drake. He also serves up some heat in "Everybody Dies" potentially taking shots at the likes of Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, and others.

Overall, this will be a December to remember for many music fans. With many of our beloved artists deciding to gift their fans with new music, Christmas has come very early this year. And this music couldn't have come at a better time too. With many college students stressing over finals this month, it's good to have some new music to vibe to and help them make it through one of the most stressful times of their semester.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
