Debt And Education Sitting In A Tree
Earn It Keep It Save It

Never easy, not always fun;
but damn, look at how far we've all come.
Mid-Twenties are hard, and it's not even cool.
But like mom said:

"Life's not always fair."

Still in school, drenched in debt.
Maybe FAFSA will get wiped out;
but we all know it won't.
Sallie Mae called me the other day;
they just played Rihanna:

"Bitch Better Have My Money."

Well, I don't.
I'll be dead and will still owe you;
but then you'll harass my children--
that is, if I can afford to have my own.

I'm sorry I took so long in school.
All I wanted was an education,
but it turns out the real gift isn't knowledge,
it's debt.
But I'll keep the faith;
America will figure it out.
I don't mind paying for higher education,

I just can't afford to.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
