Dear Mom & Dad

There's nothing I can ever do to thank you for all that you have done for me, but I hope that I make you proud.

Dear Mom and Dad,

I am so grateful for the relationship that I have with you. For almost 20 years I have grown up watching you love each other and you love me, for the nights you slept on my bedroom floor because I was too scared to sleep alone, for picking me up from grandma's house in the middle of the night because I got scared and didn't want to be away from you, for moving me into college, for helping me pay for college, for coming to visit me just because, for throwing some money in my bank account because it's overdrawn, for all these things and so much more I am grateful for you.

Each time we're together I watch the two of you in love. Still doing all the little things for each other that help to start a relationship. I have you to thank for my high expectations. You care so deeply for one another and it's obvious; and I am so blessed to have a model of love to look up to. I hope that when I get married, you love him as much as I do. I hope that he loves me like you love each other.

Thank you for always picking up the phone, I know I call a lot and I call at weird times in the middle of the day, but you pause and take a few minutes to listen and it means so much to me. There's nothing I can ever do to thank you for all that you have done for me, but I hope that I make you proud. I hope that you are proud of who I become, that you support the decisions I make, that your qualities have rubbed off onto me, and that one day I can at least be half as good of parents as you are to me.

Love,

Your Daughter
