Dear Future Husband,
I'm sitting here at my desk, writing you this letter, as I text you about what movie we are going to watch tonight. Your excitement for our Resident Evil Marathon makes a smile spread across my face. We aren't engaged yet, but I know that we're going to last forever. How did I get so lucky to find a man that makes the most simple things my favorite things?
You are my sunshine on a rainy day, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I love you and all of your quirks. Your nerdy video game love and how you try to explain things to me, even though I don't understand what you're saying (and usually don't care). The passion in your eyes when you talk about anything science related and your appreciation when I give you ideas for when something in the lab isn't working. You are the most simple human, and I love you for that. I love every single thing about you, even you might not think I do.
I want to say thank you, because I know I don't say it nearly enough. Thank you for picking me up when I'm down. For showing me that I'm beautiful on the inside and outside. Thank you for coming into my life and for staying despite all of my flaws. Thank you for dealing with all of my ups and downs and helping me deal with the stress of my final year in school. Thank you for having a family that loves me as if I am actually already married to you. And for having that conversation with your sister where she finally convinced you to ask me out on a date. (Also thank you for not leaving after i broke the bowling lane on our first date).
I hope that when I walk down the aisle, you're the one to cry. Even though we both know it will probably be me. (Future make up lady - make sure everything is water proof!!). I hope our wedding day is perfect and exactly how we plan it to be.
You're the old soul and I am just physically an old lady. I can't wait to grow old with you like the cute old couple in UP. I know it won't be perfect, but it's going to be worth it. I love you forever and ever and ever. I can't wait till the day I get to call myself your wife.
