A Thank You Letter To My Dog

You deserve all the thanks in the world.

A Thank You Letter To My Dog
Lenna Dean

Dear Woody,

I remember when we first brought you home 12 years ago, you were so tiny and you were pretty much the cutest little dog I've ever seen. I fell in love with you instantly and I love you even more now. You've been there for me through it all, from heartbreak to happiness and everything in between. When I got my tonsils out a few years ago, you never left my side. And when I broke up with my high school boyfriend, you laid in bed with me as I cried myself to sleep. And every time I feel like being lazy and not doing anything all day, I know I always have you to cuddle up on the couch with and watch movies. You've been my biggest protector and my rock through all of life's many twists and turns.

So thank you, thank you for always being there for me and thank you for loving me unconditionally. But most of all, thank you for being the greatest dog a girl could ever ask for. Even when you chew up my pens or steal my napkin as I'm trying to eat dinner, I take one look at adorable little face of yours and I can't stay mad at you. You have us all wrapped around your little paw but I wouldn't have it any other way. You're one of my life's greatest blessings and I love you endlessly.

Love Always,

Your Favorite Sister

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
