Dear Professor,
It's the week that final grades come out. Finals week is over, but the stress is only half gone. I have worked hard all semester, didn't skip a class, and paid attention to your every word (well almost). As you're inputting the grades and calculating my future, there are a few things I want you to know:
1) I was interested in your class and I studied my butt off, my test grades may not have always showed that, but my participation in class, visits to your office, and homework grades did.
2) I was taking multiple classes, some not so easy. Okay, most not so easy. College isn't the easiest.
3) I'm genuinely going to miss having this class with you. You have taught me so much this past semester and I hope to remember it for many years.
Now, I know you're thinking that I'm trying to suck up to you to get a better grade, that may be true. But, believe me, it would be well deserved. You were in college once, you know what it is like. You know there is constant studying, hours and hours spent at the library, and you can't not have a social life. These are the best four years of your life, after all (add a year or two for some). All I'm asking is that you genuinely think about how I was in class and not just how it was reflected through percentages.
Thank you,
