Dear Phuture Prayer Group,

Words cannot even describe how excited I am to be your leader next fall! For those who are not in Sigma Phi Lambda, one thing we do is that once a week for 90 minutes, we meet with a prayer group. Each semester, we are assigned to a new prayer group. Prayer groups have about five girls in them plus a leader.

Basically, what we do in prayer groups is, we talk about and have discussions about Jesus, faith, our life, questions we have, our testimonies, prayer requests, devotionals, really anything Jesus-related! Prayer groups are not a Bible study and do not take the place of one.

One of the requirements for membership in Phi Lamb is that we are required to go to an outside Bible study or small group once a week, and prayer groups do not take the place of that. Being a part of a prayer group is one of my favorite parts about my sorority, and I always look forward to meeting with my group once a week. I have always had a great prayer group experience every semester I have been in Phi Lamb. I always feel safe and at home when I am with my prayer groups. My previous leaders have helped me through a lot and I always feel that I can be both open and honest when I am with my prayer group every week.

For the new members in my group, I am so excited to help show you around your new home here in the Lamb Pham! Prayer groups are a huge part of what we do, and they play such a major role in finding your place here in Phi Lamb.

I met some of my closest friends though my prayer group during my first semester in Phi Lamb, and I hope the same thing happens to you! I cannot wait to see you grow over the course of the semester! I cannot wait to finally meet you and hear your story of how you came to know Christ! I cannot wait to see you hopefully find your home here in Phi Lamb! I know that your first semester in Phi Lamb will be the busiest and time management is definitely key, but please do not give up, because being a part of this sorority is so rewarding in so many ways and I strongly believe that you will be able to find your place here in the Lamb Pham.

For the actives in my group, first off, I am so happy you decided to stick around Phi Lamb for another semester! Whether we were close before or not, I am looking forward to getting to know you even better than before! If there is anything I learned from my previous prayer groups that I have been a part of, it is that we all struggle with something and that we all have gone through some kind of heartbreak at some point in our life, whether it be a painful breakup, loss of someone close, rejection, addiction, abuse or mistake that you regret. I just want you, as well as the new members, to know that you always free to share anything with me or our group. I promise I will listen to every word! I promise that I will not judge.

I am really excited to be your prayer group leader. I promise that I will try my absolute best to best role model and live up to the values that Phi Lamb holds. I hope that this upcoming semester will be one to remember and that we all can make some awesome memories together! This prayer group is not about me, it is about all of you! I cannot wait to find out who is in my group and to have our first meeting. Overall, I am just really looking forward to being your leader and what is soon to come!

Love,

Bailey

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.
