Dear New College Student;

Congratulations on starting on the right path towards a successful life. I wish you the best down the road toward your accomplishments.

College will help you in reaching your upcoming and future goals. During this time, you will learn how to work proficiently and also what to expect in the future. The main reason for this article is to provide you with ways to become a successful college student.
Throughout school, you consume knowledge of test-taking strategies, note-taking strategies, study techniques, and how to become a better listener. You are also taught how to better set goals for yourself. I learned how to become a more efficient thinker by using creative, practical, and analytical thinking skills. Attending college has improved my thinking skills and allowed me to apply successful intelligence throughout my everyday life.

In certain classes, you will practice how to be organized and prepared every day to the best of your ability. Purchase supplies you may need to achieve. Sufficient supplies I prefer to invest in are pencils, ink pens, highlighter, papers, post-it-notes, planner, and tab markers, etc.

Showing up to class early and being sure to review the material before the class begins is very essential. Staying focused and knowing what to expect during your courses is very important. Knowing the syllabus would be useful for you throughout your classes. You should stay away from those that may distract you, and be responsible for your class work. Pick a spot where you can do your work and hear the teacher clearly. Record all your data from recent announcements your instructor assigned to you.

Sleeping well and eating healthy are also very essential down your path toward being successful. Getting enough sleep and eating properly helps you stay focused during class and complete your task. Eliminate procrastination by completing your work when you first get it and try not to hold it off for too long. Organize your completed assignments and any notes you may have because it will reduce any troubles in your upcoming quarter.

Attend class every day, and try not to miss too many days. Making it to class and getting to school on time is mandatory for getting good grades in the classes you have. Be optimistic and responsible, and make your time in college count. Your time and dedication will most likely pay off at the end.

I wish you the best of luck on your studies, short-term goals, and future goals down your path to success. Good luck!

Sincerely;

Rashad Orumwense

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
