An Open Letter To My Newborn Nephew

Dear Nephew,

You're here! You finally made it. Welcome to our crazy, dysfunctional and loving family. Sorry to be the one to break it to you, but we're a bunch of weirdos. But hey, you will never be bored.

I'm your aunt, which means I'm super fun and you can always come to me if you need anything. I'm here to play with you when you're bored and cheer you up when you are sad. I can love you more than anything in the world, and protect you almost as well as mommy and daddy can.

You're only a few days old right now, so you have no idea what is in store for you. A life of love, laughter, and happiness is what your future holds nephew. Your mommy and daddy love you so much, and they will do anything to give you the best life possible. Yeah, they will be overbearing and protective, but it's because you are the most precious thing to them. Try not to be so hard on them when you are older.

Grammy is a little crazy sometimes, but she means well. Right now she calls you her little poopie, and I don't think she will ever stop. She has a nice set up at her house so if you ever want to give mom and dad a break, grammy will be more than happy to steal you. She is going to spoil the crap out of you, use it to your advantage. Also, grandpa will do whatever you want. Only a few days old and you've already got the family wrapped around your tiny fingers. Go you!

Your uncles are pretty cool. Almost all of them love sports, so you'll have guys to play with when you're older. You guys can ride bikes, play catch, play with cars, and whatever else you want to do. Watch out for Uncle Jeffrey though, he said he is going to make you a 'pimp' one day and we aren't too sure what that means yet.

You can't choose your family, but we're glad you've joined ours.

If you ever want to relax, nap, hang out, or talk, you can always come to me. If you want to go on adventures, walks, play a game, or just want to give mom and dad a day off then you can always count on your aunt.

You are loved very much nephew, and you always will be.

All my love, your favorite aunt.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.

1. You're tired of school food and have resorted to surviving off junk food and cereal.

2. Your financial aid/money is running out...and chances are it all went to textbooks and takeout.

Because Chandler Bing should be everyone's spirit animal.

Zimbio

Ah, Ms. Chanandler Bong, or Chandler Bing as he is better known as. For 10 years, Chandler brought us many laughs, many tears, and, well, Matthew Perry's fame. He is, personally, my favorite character on "Friends" because he made me laugh more than any other character on the show and I felt like I could relate to him more than the other characters on the show. Anyway, here are 10 Chandler Bing quotes that anyone can relate to... or graduates can at least...
