There are times like now, where you’re feeling down about yourself. Right now you’re feeling like you’re not good enough, pretty enough, smart enough, witty enough, friendly enough and everything in between. You’ve always been hard on yourself, that’s just who you are. You try not to let your insecurities show to the outside world because you don’t want to seem weak. You would rather make fun of yourself and act a fool than be serious about what’s actually bothering you. These feelings don’t stick around for long but they creep up at the most inconvenient times. These thoughts in your brain makes you actually believe that all of these feelings are true but they’re not. So this list is for now and all the times in the future that those untrue thoughts resurface and interfere with your personal growth; because sometimes you need to be reminded at all the great things you’ve achieved and all the things that you’re just plain awesome at.

  1. Your eyes. People your whole life has told you that you have pretty eyes and you know you do too; don’t deny it.
  2. Your laugh. You won best laugh in high school for crying out loud.
  3. You’re strong. You’ve been through some shit and you’re still alive and moving forward.
  4. You’re a good listener.
  5. You’re a good friend. Ask Amanda or Thalia.
  6. You have good taste in music. You don’t just listen to one genre, you listen to all kinds except for modern country; which no one should do.
  7. You have goals. In one more semester you’ll be a senior in college and then you’re off to graduate school! You’ve come so far!
  8. You’ve walked away from toxic situations. From an ex-boyfriend, a crappy friend/roommate and other crappy friends.
  9. You don’t feel the need to wear makeup to feel comfortable or pretty. But let when tell you, when you do wear makeup; hot damn do you look good too.
  10. Simply, you ARE enough.

Remember that list is for you, for when you’re feelings down and insecure. Read this list and hopefully you can say bye, bye, bye ugly little feelings; for now anyway.

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.
