Dear Mama,
You are appreciated.
As I get older, I become more understanding of all the small things you would constantly tell me. From never taking life for granted to realizing my worth. When things were toxic in my life you reminded me that things will get better if I believe in myself.
No matter what obstacle has came our way you have always figured out a solution regardless of how long it took. Your motivation to do the best a single mother can do is admirable.
You have and always will be the strongest woman in my life. Growing up wasn't easy but you made it to where we would only have to stress about school.
I remember when I was younger how you would punish us when we would fight or talk back to our teachers and now, I get why. It wasn't because you were doing it because of spite but you wanted to teach us that bad attitudes get you nowhere in life.
I have heard you cry when you're stressed about making sure your children live the life they deserve. I have hugged you when you have woke up because the world is a better place with you in it. I have seen you smile ear to ear when your kids are doing everything they worked so hard for.
Nothing would be possible in my life if I didn't have you supporting me. You have been my backbone when I was tired of working so hard. You supported me when I chose that a far college was right for me. You still support me today and I know your love will never stop.
