Dear Lubbock,

Thank you for the memories you have given me. I will cherish them for the rest of my days.

Driving down dusty backroads to watch your incredible west Texas sunsets will always be one of my fondest memories of you.

Your originality is one that cannot be compared. You stand out amongst every other town in Texas, and only in the best ways that only people who have been lucky enough to live with you have experienced.

Your red dirt music feeds my soul, and your soul fuels the people. Thank you for your concerts and festivals, may you only grow to host more.

Thank you for sustaining the best school in Texas, Texas Tech University. The home of the Red Raiders is in good hands having roots within your soil. The scarlet and black veins run deep within the town, pumping blood to every business in the area.

You continue to grow and grow, yet maintain your small town personality that I love so much.

You have brought me my very best friends, the very best school, and the best cheese sticks (shoutout to Spanky's).

While my time in Lubbock quickly comes to an end with my college years, there is not enough I can say or do to thank you for my time here. You are more than a town to those who pass through, and more than a home to those that stay.

I have found who I am because of you, Lubbock. Thank you for the past four years. You will be missed.

Sincerely,

A Texas Tech Senior

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
