Open letter to my baby sister <3

Growing up as the baby in the family was always a sad thing for me because I wanted to be a big sister, I wanted to be that role model and “momma” I always begged my mom and dad to at least adopt a little sibling but it never happened.

It was the morning of November 27, 2014, that my mother received a call from her best friend Julie (Momma JuJu) at 5:45 AM. My family of four woke up, all four of us showered and hit the road by 6:15. The amount of joy and happiness that filled my life that day is unexplainable. This is the day my life changed, I became a Big Sissy.

My dreams of being a big sister came true when I was 18. Not only was it the day of my sissy’s birth it was also Thanksgiving. It was a VERY THANKFUL day in my books. I may be biased but I think she is the cutest, sweetest and most adorable girl EVER. I feel as if she was born yesterday! The amount of memories that I have made with her are unforgettable. Watching her grow up has been very bitter sweet, she is growing to fast. Some of the funniest moments that have occurred are when I am with Momma JuJu and my Mom, I always get asked how old is she? and the most common phrase is she is adorable, I automatically wanna say, I know you don't have to tell me that. :)

Some of my favorite moments with my baby sister are the times where she will see me and dart across the room saying SIISSYY. It makes my heart skip a beat. Another one of my favorite times is when I am holding her in church and she dances uncontrollably and raises her hands to worship the Heavenly Father. It makes my heart so happy.

To my mini me:

I love you more than you will ever know, the moment I found out that I was going to be a big sister I started making a quilt. I enjoyed every moment of watching you grow and grow in your mommies belly and then, you were born and haven't stopped that smiling happy personality. I look forward to seeing your bright and shining face when I come home from college. I love the silly moments and the love that you share at all times. I pray as you grow up that I will be someone that you can look up to and just enjoy being around. I hope that I can show you how fun it is to be a child of God and to have a heart of love and compassion. Abigail Jean Osburn you are going to be blessed and are blessed by your wonderful mommy and dad. Yesterday you turned 2! How can my baby sister already be 2? It is unbelievable how fast you are growing up. You might not understand all of this that I have wrote you but someday you will and I hope that you will always remember that I love you with all my heart and are one of the biggest bleSsings in my life!

Love you beyond words Abigail Jean

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
