An Open Letter To Julian Assange
TIME

Dear Julian Assange,

In the midst of the current American political crisis, I consider you Heaven-sent. Although most citizens of the United States probably do not even know your name, those of us that do, applaud you immensely. And as we are all aware, as America stands on a dangerous political threshold and approaches the decision making month of November, the corporate media increases its efforts to suppress truth and proof of corruption more and more every day.

But you are someone people like myself marvel at. You are part of a dying breed of journalism. You're Australian yet have propelled Wikileaks toward being more of a contribution to our 2016 Presidential Election than any journalist or media source in the United States of America has. From Hillary Clinton's emails to her conspiracy with Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the DNC to silence Bernie Sanders and his campaign to her ties with former ISIS business client, Lafarge, to her companionship, loyalty and puppet strings to world elites like David Rockefeller, Jacob Rothschild and George Soros -- you have released information and documents that expose everything we as voters should be aware of and angry about. And you have even found yourself at war with the establishment, being that you are under investigation from the Department of Justice and have come under fire from many ignorant people, such as Bill Maher, who have a blatantly obvious disregard and tolerance for political corruption in American society.

In an election that has the recurring theme of "choosing the lesser of two evils" you would think the information you've presented our country in regards to the suspected "lesser evil" of the two candidates would be appreciated beyond words by every person who plans on going to the polls in November -- but it is not. If it is not unheard of by most voters, it is typically not appreciated or even condemned. This speaks volumes of the American society and its current politically-brain washed collective mental state. Our citizens are not utterly disgusted with the corporate media, who conspires with the establishment to withhold information from them in order to control them, but they are indoctrinated by it. They are indeed blind followers of and practically worship them. They listen to every word spoken, read every headline written and absorb them without a single critical thought or questioning of it. They consciously allow the corporate media to be their only source of information. We are truly on the verge of something catastrophic in terms of our society's flow of information and education. Our media has turned our citizens into sheep that lack the ability or drive to educate themselves, think critically or demand the ugly truth over the pretty lie. Instead they accept "truth" that spares them the gory details of the careers, decisions and characters of corrupt politicians that represent them and run their country. They submissively agree to tolerate corruption and vote for the "lesser of two evils."

That being said, I want to thank you for everything you have done for us this election, including those who are ignorant or misinformed. Thank you for exposing corruption. Thank you for providing the American voter with transparency for the sake of his democracy. Thank you for proving that real journalists who seek to inform and educate still exist. Thank you for having more integrity in the tip of your pinky finger than the American journalists and media have collectively. I consider you more of a patriot than many of the lifeless puppets in my own country and you have undoubtedly gained my utmost respect.

Sincerely, A Vigilant Citizen

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
