As a huge fan of One Direction (yes, I'll admit it and not even care about whatever ridiculous things you could be thinking about all their fans being 12), I have been on an emotional roller coaster ever since the guys decided to take a hiatus that started January 2016. Okay, technically it's actually been since Zayn left the band on March 25, 2015. But! This is not an article about the sad things. This my friends is an article about how one Harry Styles is going to be my demise.

This hiatus has been everything but boring, for me anyways. If it's not the boys doing something, it's fans starting projects for every fan to be a part of. And these plans are pretty amazing. During this break, Louis and Liam became dads (congrats), Niall released a single called "This Town," Louis collaborated with Steve Aoki and released "Just Hold On," Louis’ mom lost the battle to leukemia and we all felt that loss (RIP Johanna ❤), Liam has been teasing us with things he is working on but hasn't actually released anything, making the anticipation a real thing, and then we have Harry.

Harry was cast in Christopher Nolan's new film Dunkirk coming out this summer, but that is only a piece of what he has been up to. He did a magazine spread for Another Man with three (yes, three! See below for the pictures) amazing covers, he dropped a single called "Sign Of The Times" after releasing a trailer to the song, because it's Harry Styles so why not, and he already announced his album release date as May 12th. On top of all that, he was just on Saturday Night Live where he performed his single along with another song from the album and was in multiple skits.

In one of the skits, he played Mick Jagger, and there was a joke about Mick becoming a solo artist and leaving a successful band. I see you SNL writers. In a different skit he was dressed as a war captive, and to be totally honest, I didn't even recognize him at first - please Harry, if you are reading this, do not grow facial hair like that ever. He even appeared for what felt like two seconds in the opening song dancing with Jimmy Fallon and everyone else who was there. We even got to see his interpretation of a ballerina twirl; reminder, we fans may love these boys but they are truly terrible dancers.

I am counting down the days to see Dunkirk.

Pre-ordering your album.

And enjoying all the interviews and magazine spreads you are doing.

Harry Styles, you will never cease to impress me. I have been a fan for years and plan on staying for the long run. You have said multiple times you are grateful for the fans, but I want to tell you that I am grateful for you. For all the crap people said while you were in the band, all the rumors, all the times that many people might decide it's too much, you kept going. And I thank you for that. As a fan I will always hope to be able to meet you; but if that doesn't happen, I hope you come across this article and get to read about how amazing you are from just a normal girl writing an article about one of the people she looks up to most. You may be a year younger than me, but you are truly one of the greatest people that everyone you know should be grateful for.

To my other favorite boys, because I can not leave you out, I love you all the same. You are all inspiring and have pushed me to try and be the best me I can be and to work harder on getting to be in the music Industry. I know it's hard work, and we have seen how hard it is on your faces, but you never gave up, and for that, I thank you all for everything you have done and everything you will do. And Niall, maybe I'll run into you one day golfing as soon as I get to play again. That would be amazing.

Sincerely,

Just another grateful fan.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
