Women have so much power, whether we see it or not. That power is the base for what makes each and every single one of us beautiful. We must not forget that power.

But, I see you. I understand you. I know your insecurities, your worries, and doubts. I know you don’t like the way you look. I know you probably think your nose is too big, your eyes are too far apart, and your smile isn’t as perfect as the next girl.

I know you worry about not being enough, not doing enough, about not being great enough. I know you doubt the fact that a man will ever love you, that you will aspire to do great things, that the world is safe.

You see, while different qualities are what separate us, our insecurities, worries, and doubts make us the same. They make us united.

The truth is, the world isn’t fair. It knocks us down over and over again each time we finally get the chance to stand up. People can be cruel and judgmental. Sometimes, we aren’t even seen for our worth.

But I’m here to say I get it. I know how it feels to be a woman. I know how it feels to feel powerless, insecure about how you look, and doubtful of every single thing you do.

It’s not easy, nor do I think it’ll ever get easier.

But the thing that has kept me going is knowing that I’m not alone. While we all have qualities that set us apart from one another, I know that every other woman I meet is facing the same challenges I am.

We are all treasures in the eyes of one another, regardless of how we feel about ourselves.

No matter how much you despise your look, hate your flaws, and keep yourself hidden, you are loved and adored by others.

Whether we admit it or not, women hold high regards for other women. We respect each other’s power and will always be there even when you can’t see it.

We all see the beauty that radiates before one another. We think you’re beautiful even if you think otherwise. We think you’ll be loved and aspire to great things even if you think otherwise.

I see you. I understand you.

You’re allowed to feel doubtful and insecure. I feel doubtful and insecure myself most days. But, you must remind yourself of the treasures that remain to shine on the outside, and you must pull those positive aspects inside. You must stomp those negative feelings away with the amazing qualities you have yet to allow yourself to see.

You hold a great power within you, and that power is exactly what makes you beautiful. It’s time to grip that power with every inch of your skin and allow yourself to fly. And we will be beside you every step of the way.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
