In college, you meet so many new people. Some of these people you click with and some you don't. I met some of the greatest people at Gustavus and I'm lucky enough to be rooming with one of them next year. So, Taylor, this is for you.

Dear Future Roomie,

Hey, what's up? How are you? I'm pretty good. I'm so thankful that I met you and we became so close. I wouldn't want to binge watch "Drake and Josh" with anyone else. We never stop laughing when we are together and I can't wait to actually be living together. I know you're always going to be there for me to talk to and I'm so happy you are.

Being away from you for 3 months is gonna be very strange since I'm used to you living 5 seconds away from me. Next summer is going to be even more strange since we'll go from living in the same room to being over an hour away. I'm definitely going to drive down and visit you because I need to see what life on the farm is like. I want to meet your dog, cows, horses, cats, chickens and whatever other animals you have. I also expect to have one of your cat's kittens after I graduate since my parents would not let me have a cat when I'm still in school (we could definitely sneak one into the dorms though).

Imagining how much fun we're going to have living together makes me want this year to be over even more. I am so ready to live in the same room and watch "Drake and Josh" all the time and listening to weird songs on Youtube. Also, the wall of farm jokes is definitely going to be a thing because I have an endless supply and need the world to be aware of them. If I hadn't met you in college, college would be a lot more boring and wouldn't have as much laughter. I love how similar we are and how easily we became really good friends. Our dorm room is going to look so good too and I love planning it out with you (even though we end up distracted and doing something else instead). I'm ready for the study sessions since we're now doing the same major, and I'm ready for those study sessions to go until the earliest hours because we'll get sidetracked and procrastinate studying.

I can't wait until move-in day next year and finally actually being roommates since we pretty much are now. I can already picture binge-watching Netflix and vine compilations all the time, and peeing our pants laughing at the dumbest most immature things. I definitely could write way more than this and go off on a million tangents, but I'll leave it at this. I couldn't imagine my first year (and hopefully the next 3) without you. I love you froomie (and soon just roomie :) <3)

Sincerely,

Your future roomie Leah

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
