Dearest Future Little,

I don't know you yet, but I already know that I will love you. Before I meet you, I have a couple of things I want you to know and a couple of things to always hold dear.

I will always have your back.

No matter what you do I will always have your back. If you want to go do something crazy, I will always be here to do it with you.

I will always be here for you.

No matter what time of night I will always be here for you. You can call me at 3 a.m. and I may be half asleep, but you best know I will pick up the phone. No matter what the situation may be I will always be here to talk to you about it.

Your family and I are so excited to meet you.

We don't know you yet, but we are excited to make you a part of our little sassy family. Before you meet us, though, I should let you know we are a bit unique. We all have something different about us. No matter who you are I know you will fit into our little cute family.

You are never alone.

You are my little baby, I will try my hardest to never let you feel alone. I will always be a call away, don't ever forget that. If I start to get busy, just text me and I will be there, I promise.

When it comes to your education.

When it comes to your education I will always try to help you. If I don't know the answer, I will try my hardest to find it. If you need a study buddy, I will be there. If you just need a quiet place to get away and get some homework done, my house is your house. No matter what you need I will do my best to get it for you.

I am not perfect.

I am going to make mistakes too. It is inevitable. I will do my best to be the best Big I can be. I know sometimes I will fall short. Be patient with me like I will be patient with you. This relationship we will share is a two-way street so I need you help me out sometimes too.

I love you.

I will always forgive and forget. I love you and it is my job to be a good role model and to be someone you can always look up to. I will do my best to do that job to my best ability. You and I aren't always going to like each other, but that's okay. When we have problems we need to talk through them instead of having a long silence. I love you and always want what is best for you.

Little, I haven't met you yet but I am so excited to make you a part of my life. Your family and I are waiting for the day you come into our lives and change it forever. Don't forget the things I wrote to you in this letter. I don't know when you will become a part of our lives, but when that day comes I know it will be great!

We don't buy into these... just like how we don't buy our friends.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
