Dear Donald Trump: Our Next President
Inside Gov

Dear Mr. Trump,

As a citizen of the United States of America and a Political Science Major, this election meant a lot to me. The 19th Amendment that the women of our country worked so hard to obtain will forever have a pertinent place in my heart. This election was the first time I was able to vote, and I exercised my right. I know too many people who wanted you as our next President and even more people who never thought you stood a chance against Clinton.

What I am here to say as of right now, I suppose, is congratulations. After two long years of campaigning, you’ve made it to the finish line before Hillary. I swing slightly right in the world of politics, so the idea of you as our next President does NOT scare me, but it scares so many of my friends and family. You won the hearts of millions of Americans who wanted change, and with them, I agree. On the other hand, millions of Americans could never understand the idea of a Trump presidency or how Republicans could elect a person like you into office.

At about 8 a.m. on November 9th, I woke up knowing that the world would be torn no matter the outcome, which is not the way it should be. These next four years will surely be different from the past eight, but Mr. Trump, you are responsible for the American citizens now. You are responsible for protecting us. You have now taken on that position, and we will be waiting for that change that we have longed to see.

Although you have won the hearts of many, show the rest of the world that the media has so far twisted your person. Show us that you have some good, even if you have to dig down deep to find it. Show those who didn’t want you as President that you will work hard for our citizens and the rights of us as Americans.

We are on the road to recovery, and we will be waiting for you to show us how to “Make America Great Again”.

Sincerely,

A voter patiently waiting for America to be “great” again

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
