Dear Coworkers,

First of all, I just want to thank you — thank you for welcoming me and being so patient with me when I was training. It took me a while to learn what to do, but I could not have done it without your help. You made coming to work every day a lot of fun! I looked forward to work because I knew I would have a good time working with you. You made the busy moments more bearable and the slow times pass by. Thank you for sharing parts of your life and telling me about your families and past experiences. It made me feel special that you felt comfortable enough with me to share those parts of your lives. I really enjoyed getting to know the part of you that I don't see at work.

I have to say that the best part of my summer job was working with all of you. Some days were harder than others, but knowing you were also going through those rough days made it better. This summer was a big transition for me but you made it not so hard, and I am so happy to have been able to work with such amazing individuals.

There were days when I came into to work and the last thing I wanted to do was be there and be engaging with other people. But my mood quickly changed because working with you all had that effect on me. Having to always be "on stage" in a sense when I was at work seemed challenging on those days, but your infectious positive moods and personalities made me want to be just as positive.

This was the first summer that I worked 40 hours a week. It was quite the transition and took some getting used to. But knowing I had such a great job with such wonderful people made me appreciate having a job where I could spend so much time with so many great people. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to grow and learn so much about myself and about the business we worked in.

This job allowed me to grow more as a person and taught me valuable life lessons that I can take with me as I continue my journey to adulthood. Seeing how you handled tough situations with such patience and humility made me want to follow your example and do the same. This industry definitely teaches you these skills and many others.

It is bittersweet that I only have a few more days at this job. You all keep talking about how much you will miss having me around, but it is I who will truly miss all of you. You have made an impact on my life, and I will never forget the summer I worked with all of you. I hope that we can stay in touch after I leave and that I can see how you are doing. Thank you for helping me learn about the industry, about your lives and about myself. Your support and guidance these past few months will not be forgotten. I will cherish this summer and all the memories and laughs we have had together. Thank you for being you and thank you for letting me be part of your work family.

Love,

Your summer coworker

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
