20 Reasons We All Nee Christmas To Hurry Up

Dear Christmas,

Now that October has passed, most of humanity is anxiously awaiting your arrival, or at least I am. Here are the 20 reasons why I really need you to come sooner.

1. I want to stuff my face with endless amounts of cookies without being judged.

2. I want to lay in my bed and watch 25 days of Christmas RIGHT NOW.

3. I want to hang tons of Christmas lights in my room and turn my apartment into a full-scale replica of Elf.

4. I want to watch Elf 4500 times.

5. I want to be with my friends and family at home drinking festive cocktails.

6. I want to give gifts to the people I love.

7. I want to receive gifts from all the people I love. Yes, Santa, that means you.

8. I want to bake cookies for Santa with my siblings.

9. I want to eat Christmas dinner.

10. I want to take artsy pictures of my house when it's snowing.

11. I want to wear ugly Christmas sweaters everyday.

12. I want to go sledding.

13. I want to go to a tropical destination the day after Christmas.

14. I want to have a break from schoolwork (aka a month long snow day).

15. I want to pick out a Christmas tree (but have my dad or brother chop it down).

16. I want to decorate the Christmas tree with my family.

17. I want to dress my puppy in a Santa suit.

18. I want to go to NYC and see the tree in Times Square.

19. I want to hear Christmas carols on the radio and sing to them at the top of my lungs.

20. I want to get that pre-Christmas happy, buzzing feeling.

Please take this list into serious consideration and come quicker.

Sincerely,

Your Favorite (blonde) Elf

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
