Stevenson University is a college unlike any other. As a smaller sized private college, going through big changes, Stevenson is surely unique. With three campuses, shuttles, and finicky wi-fi, a student’s day is all but smooth. Despite a potentially rocky start to a day, students have nothing but love for the Stevenson family and community. Here is an average day in the life of a Stevenson student.

7:00 a.m.: Wake up after seven alarm snoozes and rush out the door to Rockland in order to get food before your 8 a.m. or just shove in a granola bar as you’re running to catch the shuttle.

8:00 a.m: Walking from the shuttle to your class (which you are already late for) because the shuttle schedule wasn’t running on time.

9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.: Going from class-to-class, and from one campus to another before either being done for the day or stopping for a lunch break.

1:00 p.m.: If you’re on the Owings Mills campus, you are likely to scarf down some food at Rockland, but if you are lucky, you will get the chance to use flex dollars elsewhere. If you’re at Owings Mills North, well there’s not much of an option there…. If you are at Greenspring at this time, well you are one lucky dog for they have the best food out of any campus.

2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.: You are either finishing up classes for the day or heading to your on-campus job so you won’t be “college broke” any longer.

5:00 p.m.: Here is where you make the important decision of whether or not you get an early dinner and beat the rush, or cram in some homework for an hour before eating. It is also the time where you will see what Rockland has as their dinner option, and contemplate whether you really even want to eat at all.

7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.: As both athletic events and club meetings are going on at this time, you have yet another important decision to make. You must decide whether you want to go watch the soccer game or attend one of the meetings for the multiple clubs you are involved in.

9:00 p.m.: Well it’s that time of the night where your loads and loads of homework is just beginning to be done. You have three papers, two forums, and 72 club projects to work on, not to mention you have to get up early in order to make it to Jazzman's before getting on the shuttle.

11:00 p.m.: In the midst of doing homework, your RA is knocking on your door, checking in during rounds, which causes you to start a conversation, which can go on for about 45 minutes.

1:00 a.m.: Exhaustion is setting in but you have only one more paragraph of the paper that is due tomorrow. You are likely to fall asleep on your desk while struggling to keep your eyes open.

3:00 a.m.: You wake up sweating because your suitemate turned the heat all the way up and their door is locked and you can’t turn it down. Then the dread hits before falling back asleep as you realize that you have to wake up in a few hours and do the same routine all over again….

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
