Throw me to the wolves, and I’ll lead the pack.

It’s 2017. Women are no longer subservient to men, so why can it be so intimidating to date an alpha female? What’s so daunting about a little independence?

If you’re looking for a damsel in distress, keep looking! The alpha female is not the girl for you.

She’s a go-getter with a complex mind and a strong personality. She won’t accept your excuses, and she doesn’t take shit from anyone—especially not you.

She knows what she wants and she doesn’t settle, so if she chooses you, know that she will always be loyal to you. And she'll always have your back. She’s also honest. And real. She won’t refrain from telling you exactly how she feels, and she won’t worry about sugarcoating it.

Never make the mistake of believing that the alpha female needs you. She doesn’t. But if she wants you, don’t make her regret it.

Also, learn to be comfortable with her freedom. Never try to cage her. Let her lead her life outside of the relationship, or you'll lose her. The alpha female is ambitious, so she needs a partner that will encourage all of her dreams—no matter how far-fetched they may be. Don’t worry. She is more than capable of balancing her independence and you.

She’s not afraid to go after what she wants and demand what she deserves. She’s often busy, but don’t allow yourself to be threatened and never get possessive. The alpha female needs to spread her wings and soar, but know that she will always return home to you.

The alpha female is strong willed as well, so she needs a partner bold enough to handle her sass and let her know when she’s wrong. She may struggle with criticism, but she’ll ultimately use it to her advantage. Also, with her no-bullshit attitude, she’ll respect you if you speak your mind.

She will never fail to challenge you either, and you should attempt to challenge her in return. The alpha female requires an equal, not a downgrade.

She works hard, but she loves harder. She’s not afraid to take charge and do things for herself, and even though you know she can handle it all on her own, always let her know that she doesn’t have to. Be there for her.

To the one dating an alpha female, please know that she recognizes her worth, and she owns it. All she asks is that you do the same. With your support and encouragement, your girl will run the world.

And to the alpha females, you are not something to be tamed. Stay wild. Stay fierce. Wait for the one who can handle it.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
